CMD Therapy/diseases of temporomandibular joints
Our hectic lifestyles and increased work pace often result in higher stress levels. These factors contribute to around 30% of the population suffering from diseases of the temporomandibular joints, called CMD (craniomandibular dysfunction). This can result in headaches and neck and back pain, which have a strong, negative impact on wellbeing. It is a difficult disorder to identify and specialists in other fields, such as ENT or orthopaedics, often struggle to make a proper diagnosis.
Possible symptoms of CMD include, among others:
- Noise when opening your mouth
- Headaches
- Neck and back pain
- Facial pain or tenderness
- Increased sensitivity of individual teeth towards hot and cold
- Toothaches
